If you've ever had a mouthful of cold, gooey impression material and fought the urge to gag, you'll appreciate what's changed. Digital dentures skip the goop entirely. Here's how it works — and why the fit is better.
What "digital" actually means
Instead of a physical impression, we use a small wand called an intraoral scanner to capture a precise 3D model of your mouth in minutes. That model goes into CAD software, where your denture is designed to exact measurements, then milled from a solid puck of premium material on our in-house CNC machine.
Why the fit is better
- No distortion. Traditional impression material can shift, pull, or set unevenly. A digital scan doesn't.
- Micron precision. Milled dentures are made to roughly 3-micron tolerance — far tighter than hand-poured methods.
- Repeatable. Your design is saved as a file. If you ever need a replacement, we can re-mill it without starting from scratch.
More comfortable, more durable
Milled denture material is denser than traditional acrylic, which makes it stronger and less porous — meaning it absorbs fewer stains and odours over time. And because there's no gagging impression step, the whole experience is simply more pleasant.
Fewer appointments
Because everything is designed and milled in our own lab — never outsourced — turnaround is faster and adjustments are quicker. Nobody's waiting weeks on a third-party commercial lab.
Is it right for everyone?
Digital workflows work for full dentures, partials, and implant overdentures alike. If you've struggled with poorly fitting dentures in the past, the precision of a digital fit is often the difference-maker.
